The Braunton Inn

Originally called Heanton Court, The Tarka Inn was an ancient manor house for distinguished families descended from King Edward IV. During the 19th Century, the great house began to be let out to farmers, its castellated towers making it one of the grandest farmhouses in North Devon. In the 1930's, pleasure flights to Lundy Island would land in the grounds.

Braunton Inn is surely the best place to make the most of our weather (come rain or shine) - with a delicious meal, a thirst quenching drink and the cherished company of family and friends. Soak up the warmest of welcomes and explore some of the most popular pub food menus in Devon, Cornwall and the Riviera. Try one of our hugely satisfying seasonal dishes with a glass of fine wine or sample a rewarding pint of our regularly changing and highly quaffable cask-conditioned real ales.

The Williams Arms

The Williams Arms is a 16th Century thatched Free House of distinction.

Our Carvery has built a reputation for being one of the finest in the South West, with it's selection of local meats and abundance of fresh, local, seasonal vegetables, served every lunchtime and evening.

We are open for Breakfast from 8:45am and food is served all day. From our specials board we serve local fish, meat and game which varies daily.

The pub boasts two large car parks and a large patio and garden area for al-fresco dining.

With our comfortable bar area for eating and drinking, our newly refurbished private dining area, combined with our 100 seater Restaurant, the Williams Arms can cater for any occasion for 2 to 120.

The White Lion

The White Lion is a friendly, local pub and is situated on the beach side of Braunton. It benefits from a delightful garden area with marquee and patio heaters, free Wi-Fi, a large upstairs entertainment room and our very own open Indian Kitchen, the best Indian Curry this side of Calcutta, where you can order then watch your food being cooked while relaxing with a pint.

We also now have a comprehensive red, white and rose wine list including Wolf Blass and 4 ciders, a great choice lagers and a great pint of Guinness.

The Mariners Arms

A traditional English pub serving no nonsense pub grub. The Mariners Arms is very popular little haunt, you'll enjoy the homely welcome, great home cooked food that is exceedingly well priced, cosy log fires and a beer garden that's just perfect in high summer.

A spacious function room complete with skittle alley also offers an affordable option for any celebration. Throw in some well kept real ales and friendly locals and you can really start to get the picture!.

Raggamuffins-Bistro

Raggamuffins, the little bistro that's big on quality specialising in fish and seafood with a big emphasis on local fresh produce. Situated in the heart of the village of Braunton, within the Cross Tree Centre, Raggamuffins offers a wide variety of locally sourced seasonal foods.

Fresh fish is supplied daily by Passmores fishmongers of Butchers Row in Barnstaple, having been landed at Appledore Fish Market on the Taw & Torridge estuary.

Squires Fish Restaurant

Squires sell fish and chips with a difference. They do your regular plate of fish chips and peas but huge portions. AND they do a beautiful poached fish with a variety of sauces with salads on scallops. The fish is superb and the chips are heavenly.

It's a family run buisness at the heart of our village. The quality shows as people will queue for ages to sit in the huge and stylish restaurant and eat from the take away.
